I'm getting near the end of my ultra-time-consuming project!!!

So, I've gotten hooked on the old 80's show "Amazing Stories" (Spielberg).

I'm trying to get all of them. Problem is, the Sci-Fi channel only plays the same 20 or so over and over, which is only like half of the series. So, I acquired this set of DVD's with all of the episodes on it (pretty poor quality however). It's been such a pain in the ass.

First, the DVD's aren't authored correctly, so converting them from DVD format to a more manageable format has been a complete pain in the ass. For example, the video files are completely screwed up, which throws off almost every video editor. Second, the DVD's themselves have some scratches on them, so that makes most programs go nuts as well.

I've tried EVERY free program out there (literally, every one) and some commercial ones in order to try to fix and/or properly convert the files. Finally, found a good program called Fair Use Wizard.

It's the ONLY one that can do it properly. I'm so glad :-) I'm converting the last disc as we speak.

It really sucks sometimes being so obsessive compulsive. :-)
