Well, it was very ugly on Sunday, but the Cowboys were able to pull out a win against the Skins. The youth of this team concerns me so much, but how they came back to win was somewhat of a positive. Consider this:
4 turnovers in the first half, three of those on the first three offensive possessions.
Terry Glenn dropping balls left and right, and contributing to one of QCars picks.
Two touchdowns called back because of penalties - one the opening kickoff returned 101 yards.
It was ugly in every sense of the word, and as Parcells said, Dallas made enough mistakes to lose several games.
The Cowboys are a minus 7 on turnovers the last two games, and this should be a big concern. Dallas won't win again if it is minus 4 on the turnover side.
Which comes to this week. All along, I've been thinking this should be a win. But if Dallas comes out as shaky as last week, then they're in for a long day. One thing really bothers me about this. Buffalo will be the third team to be playing Dallas coming off a bye week. So in essense, they have had a chance to work on Dallas for a couple of weeks. Detroit and Washington also had bye weeks, and we saw what happened there. But Buffalo is a much more credible opponent this week.
Prediction - Dallas win, simply because it is a home game. Things are going to start getting pretty tough with New England the following week on the road, so Dallas needs to take care of business when it can.
I look forward to some of the more mature critics who always have something intelligent to say (Vermont Dem, for example). But if you're here to say something "witty" such as "Dallas sucks" or "they're all druggies" then please take it somewhere else.
