A Christian Response to the Tattoo. An examination of the
tattoo in the light of the Word of God and history. Documented
information clearly revealing the satanic origin and serious
danger of the tattoo. MUST READING

"Must reading?"

"Bible Guidelines for Christian Music

One simple guideline for Christian music is NO DRUMS!

When secular rock-star, Michael Jackson was asked why he did the filthly-sexual, hand gestures on stage, he replied:
"It's the music that COMPELS me to do it. You don't think about it, it just happens. I'M A SLAVE TO THE RHYTHM." (The Evening Star, February 11, 1993, p. A10)

"Bata drums , sacred to the Yoruba people of Nigeria and Cuba: Their push and pull provided a template for the inner rhythms of rock and roll." (Palmer, Robert Rock & Roll An Unruly History, Harmony Books, New York, 1995 p.46) "

The drums, the drums! AARRRGGGHH!!!

4. I was raised by fundies
We had a guy come to the church who played AC/DC records backwards and pointed out messages to Satan. He also said that in his missionary days, he was in a village that had been converted. A young missionary came through with a boombox (yes, this was in the 80s) playing rock music. He said that the natives were abhorred. The beat was the same as the beat to which they had chanted to the gods they had worshipped before.

Well, it has a good beat and you can dance to it...

That reminds me of an incident in school years ago.

Someone lamented black music as being "ripped off" from whites. The teacher pointed out that music, dancing and all that originated in Africa, per early hominids, etc.

EDIT added:

I, too, was the victim of fundie upbringing. It seems Mom has gotten more severe since the death of my Dad. Her father was a Tenn. Baptist preacher, so I can understand some of it as being "where she's coming from" in her POV.

I came away with a more "Christian" outlook than what I see in the Baptist church today. I can't figure out why that is. I remember fire and brimstone sermons, and we were ALL going straight to hell!

I love these gems:

How To Spot a Counterfeit Bible Apparently there are ways to tell a fake Bible from a real one. Just hold it up to the light and look for the imbedded strip...:sarcasm:

The Attack on the Bible Did you know your Bible is under attack like never before? But not by atheists, or agnostics but Christians! Must reading. One of the world's best kept secrets. (Wow, Christians attacking the Bible--that's a new one!)

This one is the best of all: Morons believe their laryngitis was curse of God

8. "666 Watch"
Can someone "innocently" or "accidently" receive 666: the Mark of the Beast? What if I "innocently" take a debit card, credit card, a vaccine, smart-card, or biochip and it turns out to be — 666: The Mark of the Beast?

What about barcodes and 666: The mark of the Beast? Are barcodes the mark of the beast? Do barcdoes really have the number 666 "hidden" in them?

9. LMFAO . . . they actually quote the MASH theme (as sung by Marilyn Manson)
and attribute it to Manson and call it satanic.
