Back in the old days of TV
when the station would give a legal ID, the image on the screen was some sort of "billboard" or placard of some kind showing the call letters, station number, city, network, etc. What were those called? I remember some of them being pretty cool graphics-wise. Is there a website that features those?

Just curious.

Very few stations broadcast 24 hours, so when they signed off, they had the logo you describe, as well as the National Anthem. Very rare to see any station sign off now. There are a few, of course, including one around here. Just an observation.
On edit-I'm getting drunk. Can't type well at all.
