Where were you born and where do you live now?

I was born in Monrovia, Liberia. My dad was in the banking industry. Civil War broke out and my parents moved back to the states to their homestate of SC. I still live here. It's not that bad, I live on five acres in the boonies. Thought about leaving the state but I love my house and the land.

21. I was born at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, in a military hospital.

I was the fourth child, the second girl. The minute my mother was allowed out of the hospital (6 days then, lol) we moved to my father's next station, which was Joplin, Mo., so he could be a recruiter -- he was in the Air Force. We actually lived in Carl Junction. I don't remember this, because when I was 2 1/2, we moved to Noel, Mo., where my parents bought 20 acres on a hilltop near my grandmother's house.
I was raised up there.
Three other children followed, for a total of seven. I was now the middle child.
After my father got out of the service, we settled there (we moved once more, to Scott AFB, but we kept the house and land.)
Today I am the only one who lives in the area. The other six live all over the country - two in Houston, one in Austin, one in Lafayette, La., one in Washington, D.C. and one in Albuquerque, NM.
My mother moved to Idaho 5 years after my father died in 1988, and lives with a Mormon guy without benefit of clergy. This doesn't bother any of us, but it really made his family angry. His church disfellowshipped him. Mom won't marry him because she would lose Dad's pension. Besides, she likes it this way.
I am married and live in Jane, Mo., about 16 miles from where I grew up. I never thought I'd be the only one still here.
On edit: I'm not afraid of being "outed." If somebody finds out who I am on this board, nobody who knows me would be surprised.
