Congratulations to my cat Abbott!!!
Last visit to the vet (Jan05) he came in at a whopping 16lbs. The Vet said Abbott was big boned and was ok with that weight but prefered that he not gain anymore and would feel better if he lost 1-2lbs.

7 months later I'm proud to say that Abbott has lost 1.5lbs. I've done my share by NOT overfeeding them everyday (They share a dry food bowl and it was a big bowl I would just fill up all the time) and extra play time have helped shave the weight off of him. He was 14.5lbs when I found him and that should be a good weight for him to maintain!!

10. Yes, I have heard people compare him to Gargfield before
What is really wild about this cat is he doesn't eat that much. He eats as much as my little cat.

Cute but kind of a chubster lol (and that coming from the owner of two lards who sit all AROUND the house to quote an old joke lol)

What does he weigh?

Look at that curly tummy fur! Oh my god, he's adorable. I want him to be my pillow! ... I used to have a big, sweet 19-pounder, but he was not in this guy's league ...

18. Way to go, Abbott! Maybe your "mom" will play the old flashlight on the
wall game with you! Its fun but I know, too much is frustrating since there is nothing to "catch". Still its good exercise!

25. Wow..tell me he doesn't sleep on your lap!
My Bombay was 9lbs when I got her 4 years ago--she's now about 13! (who can resist giving them treats????) altho the vet says her weight is fine, so that's what I'm goin' with!

But she sleeps on my shoulder when I'm in bed lying on my side, and I wake up numb!!!

I guess she just likes to sleep where it's warm...as noted below.
