Okay, so was anyone else slightly disappointed with the second season
premieres of Stargate Atlantis and/or Battlestar Galactica?

I mean, I waited months.... for these?

Battlestar's second season premiere was marginally better than Stargate's, but.... I waited for that??

I even spent over 2GB of disk space recording them on my PC. Highest quality my hard drive space could afford, given what I have installed.

And I waited months... for that??

I kida feel let down... oh well...

1. Galactica was great. It's the first episode of the second season,
for Christ's sake. Be patient.

there wasn't a hell of a lot of resolution, given the cliffhanger that ended the last season.

I like the show, I really do. I think they did a fantastic job updating the original series for today's audience. It's really what the original Battlestar should have been in the first place. Axe the campy crap, and treat the subject matter as seriously as the characters themselves would see the situation. Truly, they do a wonderful job, but... I don't know why; I kinda feel let down a bit.

Then again, considering the pace of that particular series, and the complex story they're weaving, I shouldn't be surprised. One little thread does not a tapestry make.

3. I loved BSG!
Sorry, but can't agree with you on BSG. That was just great stuff.

The Stargates, however... last year SG-1 lost me, and I think that Atlantis managed to throw away any good feeling I had toward it. Not that I had much to begin with, but dude, turning fluffy puppy Ford into some terrorist steroid freak on a meth binge? That was just painful to watch. And I haven't even mentioned the deus ex hiroshima...
