"Rediscovering" albums you didn't like at first
Ever have this happen?

You buy a CD by a favorite artist, you listen to it a couple of times, but don't really care for it. Because you're a completist (or an obsessive music junkie/snob/collector) you keep it around even though you don't think you'll ever bother listening to it again.

What album have you dismissed at first, but rediscovered at a later date, and eventually come to love?

For me, it's the last "proper" Psychedelic Furs disc, "World Outside". I've been grooving on it recently, although I never really "got it" at first.

1. A bunch of the early Beatles records
I was always a fan of late-period Beatles; still am. However, for that reason, I largely disregarded Please Please Me through Help! I got them as a completist but didn't really listen to it much.

However, I rediscovered them some years later and at least for the past year, I've been listening to more Early Beatles than Late Beatles (I probably listened to too much Beatles for awhile - lost a little of the freshness, though it'll surely come back later). A Hard Day's Night, in particular, is pop heaven. Yes, it's relatively simple and it's much more innocent than late-period Beatles. But it's sooo catchy and effortlessly fun. I'm sorry I disregarded it earlier.

2. Lots of times
Buddy Guy's album Sweet Tea is one of those. There are a lot of others. You just have to hit it again at the right time in your life where it sounds right for the moment and you hear it in a new way.
