For starters http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=105&topic_id=3526593 (well, sort of starters as we've always been friendly here as in checking in with each other in a "How're you doing these days?" kind of way for the past year, but then we talked A LOT for about a month before we got together- like hours most nights, and well, we still do). Then last week, he stayed out my place for a couple of days (nope, not talking on that one) and he's staying with me again next week. In a few weeks, I'll finally be making my way to to the Philadelphia Metro area. :D We're 198 miles from each other which isn't bad, but not easy either (doable though for where we're at now). Still though, it's good. Really good. (The distance keeps us from jumping the gun too much which is probably a good thing.)

If you do a search of Finnfan lounge posts with "Sarah" as the subject, well, you see it all. He is one devoted dude. Then again, so am I now. He's earned it. Beyond earned it. We are frighteningly compatible and I'm rather happy. There was no trying with us, it just was. Some people might think I should suppress my feelings here for other reasons, but I'm done suppressing stuff these days. I just want to feel how I feel which right now is pretty darned good. :loveya:

23. It's a Cordoba, Spanish-made

a Córdoba F-30, to be exact. It's an entry/midpriced student flamenco model, solid spruce top, nylon strings with the flamenco-style tap plate on it. For a mass-produced $600 guitar, it sounds pretty good.

The only mod I've done is to have a Fishman transducer put in the bridge because it's easier to amplify/record. One of these days I'll post some of my flamenco stuff, but for now I'm just a hack! :D

you usually have a pretty good instrument...

Cordobas have a pretty good rep...solid top...fishman...can't go wrong...

I still prefer steel strings...but i certainly can't get the tone or the pretty sound of a classical guitar...

I love the earthy tone of the nylon strings, but the steel strings always have that clarity and jangle that you can't duplicate. I have a couple of electric steel-strings (a 6 and a 12) that I can't live without, although I do find myself playing rhythm parts with the nylon strings more often these days.

Here is me and Mr. kt at our June 2003 wedding...

I have married the biggest feminist on the planet. He was raised by right-wing, fundamentalist frustcakes, but turned out normal in spite of them. Many in his family won't speak to us because of our political belifs, but he doesn't let that bother him. He is still kind and decent to everyone no matter who they are and how fascist they voted. He figures, show them how nice and reasonable those of us on the left truly are!

Here I am being serenaded by the kiddos at our wedding! Our little niece and the daughters of the brother of our best man (whew! that was confusing and sister of the girls whose wedding I was in and whose husband introduced Mr. kt and I!)
