They currently have a free trial where you can download 3 full-length audiobooks for no obligation or charge. You'll eventually be charged once the trial ends, but you can cancel well before then. I already got my three books:
1. Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them by Al Franken 2. My Life by Bill Clinton 3. Against All Enemies by Richard Clarke
And the best thing? They're all narrated by the authors themselves! Good listening indeed.
1. Do you have to give them a credit card for the free trial?
I downloaded all of the debates and conventions, plus several speeches for free from them (one of them is Al Gore calling for Rummy's head), but I didn't have to give a credit card because those were free.
2. Yeah you do have to give them a credit card number
But you can quickly cancel your account. Its well worth it IMO. And I discovered that if you provide a different credit card number, you can get an entirely new account, complete with 3 free book numbers.
