I know we talk a lot of smack about Republicans...
But today one saved us a ton of time and money.
Skip left his cell phone on top of my car today as we were leaving his parents' house. He forgot about it, and we drove off. When we reached Target, he panicked. He looked through the car: Nothing. So we call the cell phone. A dude answers it. I ask who it is, and he says he found it on Choctaw, a road a few blocks from Skip's parents' house. He says he's from a couple towns over and only there for some garage sales and lunch, and that he would go eat and they'd wait for us after. So we drive back to El Reno, which is a 25-35 minute trip from where we are. We get there and the dude has a W 04 sticker in the back window. He's so nice and honest, I'm floored. We offer to reimburse him for the lunch he and his family(He had the cutest little baby girl) just had(They really could have used the money). He refuses. He says they were here anyway, and didn't mind the extra few minutes playing with their baby in the shade. He goes on, and we leave.
There are nice Republicans out there in the world. They're just few and far between.

3. Americans?
According to DU all republicans are evil. I was trying to make a point. No need for Captain Sarcasmo to rear his ugly head.

4. There are republicans with whom I disagree, and Neocons, whom
I loathe. You ran into a republican, and they can be very nice, deluded politically, but nice.

7. A Republican helped me find my cat last fall.
It was such a wonderful event and I rewarded him with $40. He literally helped to keep our family together!

There are good and bad in just about any group.

10. I've got one good republican friend
I keep telling him he can't be a repubican because he's almost, but not quite, a social liberal. He voted for bush, though, and I can't forgive that. He is not a stupid man. So I give him lots of shit, and he takes it pretty good, because like most people, he hasn't done his homework, so he can't win arguements.
