16. I was lucky in that Walt Disney was still running things when I was little
He had already made a lot of his most incredible films by the time I was born, but the quality was still there. And every Sunday night was the 'Wonderful World of Disney'. And the Mickey Mouse Club (the original Mickey Mouse Club) every day at 3:30. Luckily it was at 3:30 because my Mom had to watch American Bandstand everyday, live from Philadelphia with Dick Clark (what a great show).

Television-, movie-, and music-wise I am glad I grew up when I did.

6. Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, or Sleeping Beauty. Depends.
Edited on Sat Jul-09-05 02:25 PM by tjdee
I also like 101 Dalmations.

The Lion King, IMO, was the pinnacle of Disney style--cute characters, a love story somewhere, great art, great songs... too bad there was no such thing as an animation Oscar back then, because it would have won it easily. Just wonderful.

That said, I have a soft spot in my heart for Beauty and the Beast because I identified strongly with Belle and her "I want much more than this provincial liiiiiifffeee..." and having her head stuck in books and whatnot. That was a great color film....

Now that I think about it, Bollywood films are a lot like Disney films. Hmm. Did I mention Shah Rukh Khan did the Mr. Incredible voiceover for the Hindi version of The Incredibles? :loveya:

12. Indeed there is, and it's actually pretty fun :)
It has Roger Miller doing most of the tunes.

If you remember the hamster dance website, their tune was a sped up version of one of the tunes from Robin Hood :)

13. I was so tripped out on Acid when I went ot see that
then we went out to the airport and snuck out on the strip...

This was way long ago....

And we shuddered to the planes....

But my favorite Disney Movie is Puss n Boots, for obvious reasons...

15. And he's a fox, literally.
Little John was a bear, King Richard and Prince John were lions (of course)...some of the poor people were rabbits...it was cute.

I liked that one too.

14. I don't have a favorite, but it's amazing how good some of the
forgotten ones are, like the Aristocats or the Fox and the Hound :).

One that remains unavailable in the US is Song of the South which is wonderful, but is no longer available because of the racial aspects.

Although I really like Alice In Wonderland, too.

of gremlins singing "Hi Ho". I laughed till I cryed the first time I saw that.
