Yeah, our stupid state government is actually SHUT DOWN, believe it or not. We're now a bigger joke than doggie psychiatry, thanks to our idiot governor.

At least I'm still working, though-- my job was on the "essential" list, so I'm still getting paid. As of next Tuesday, 9,000+ state workers will be officially "laid off" if there's not a budget deal. That means they can collect unemployment and get their severance packages from the state.

It's bad enough it's costing the state an additional $4mil/day to stay shut, but now they'll have to fork out more for severance. Idiots. :eyes:

I did get diagnosed, and our suspicions were correct. :-( But other than that all is well. I'm starting my drugs next week.

Yes, hopefully I'll make it back one of these days. But next year we're heading to Alberta for my niece's wedding, and I'll be digging up the Alberta contingent for awhile. I've pretty much told reprehensor he's not going to see much of me while we're up. I'll either be at the Calgary Public Library or the Provincial Archives in Edmonton the whole trip! The Minnesota folks may have to wait for a bit.
