whats your favorite website for searching for used cars?

ive googled 'used car search' and treid everything in the first few pages. and none of them seem to be able to even turn up a list of what i know is in town... i just want something reliable. im looking for a vechile that isnt all that common (rather with a feature that isnt so common on this particular car)

so, what are your favorite sites?

AT.com has private listings as well as dealers. You might go to local franchised dealers used car managers and tell them what you want.

Wouldn't want to buy a car real far away from home anyway, I guess.

4. autotrader and ebay.

I've bought three cars on Ebay, and sold one, and all have been good experiences. Because of Ebay's rating system, sellers tend to be more honest than normal, if you stick with the ads with a lot of details and pictures.

Autotrader has a lot of cars, and the ability to search model information for the car you are looking at.

has been good for me. The biggest problem with the various used car sites is that they don't let you search for a car with certain features, but force you to look at specific makes and models, which is a little annoying. However, I've found that printing out copies of ones that look possible helps keep track of what I'm looking for.

Keep in mind, that all the websites depend on someone at a dealership or somewhere actually entering the information on the website. Sometimes a car will show up on cars.com but not at the dealer's own website.

If you're looking for a vehicle with an uncommon feature, it's going to take longer to find it, but be patient. I think the best thing overall is not to be needing the car immediately. The longer you can take to finally complete the purchase, the better off you are.
