Looking at the thread below, I would have to say this was my first thought as well. But I've reconsidered my opinion and now believe that the Daleks have been reinvented as American Christians.

Consider my points.

They believe they're working for the greater good in the name of their God, The Emperor and their religion.

They mass bomb enemy territories and massacre people.

They take prisoners and attempt to convert them.

They unleash a massive media savvy campaign.

Are the Daleks a pastiche of the Bush Administration?

sadly i think you're right.

distract everyone with silly B.S. reality t.v. shows to disguise the real issues in the world.
