1. That is what I do for a living for oil and gas purposes in MS!!!
It is not cheap unless you do it yourself!

3. Also like what makes a title report good and complete?...
Like if i wanted to get one to show i owned something free and clear and could use it as an asset.

have no liens against you. And the deed usually shows that you own it free and clear unless there was something with the prior owner (or even the owner before him)such as a divorce or death that was never fully settled. There could be a lost owner out there.

4. Well people that do that type of thing usually charge a day rate.
And depending on the courthouse, it can take a while. It also depends on how thorough you want the search. Someone could probably do it in a day, but if you want copies of deeds, etc., those cost per page. For instance my day rate is $185. I also charge $10 for lunch and I charge $.55/mile I put on my car. It adds up. It may be diff. there in NY.
