Anyone watch 30 days last night?
It was the one where a Christian guy from Virginia goes to live with a Muslim family. I thought it was really well done. I mean it helped that the Christian guy seemed genuinely interested in learning about the religion despite having reservations. It would have been more sensationalistic and harder to watch had he been a total wingnut type. But when he became uncomfortable it usually involved not understanding Arabic and wanting to know and be sure of what they were asking him to chant/pray. So he made the effort to find an Iman (sp?) who would teach him from that perspective. I thought the first guy he was working with was a little condescending and judgemental when ultimately the guy was asking very legitimate questions. I really like the way Morgan Spurlock intersperses what is happening to the people on this show with basic, easy to understand facts about the subject at hand.

I actually learned quite a few things that I didn't know from the episode as well. I really like this show a lot.

2. I saw it and thougth it was really good
I've liked the other 30 Days episodes he done already. I agree with you on the Christian guy. At least he learned that not all muslims are terrorists like bush would have us believe. The family he stayed with was very normal compared to our model of a typical american family.

3. I give that guy a lot of credit...
He was honest and open about what his reservations and his preconceptions were but never let them get in the way of learning what he was there to learn about. It was very touching at times, especially to see how frustrated he got because it turns out that many of the muslims he encountered had put up almost as many walls and defenses as he had.
