If a date ends with a kiss but the next one just a hug...
does that mean he's starting to lose interest or make the impression he's not interested in being more than friends?

Not that I'm used to rejection, but after 33 years I've finally started picking up on these things... or think I have...?

2. Maybe... but he might also be thinking you lost interest and
is trying to distance to feel safer.

Just a guess.... don't listen to me.

3. You're likely right. I will admit
1. When we first met in December he may have gone farther than he wanted (pity as it was a great night)

2. I made a flirtatious comment tonight.

Ah well. I'm still a toad. And will be for whatever time remains to me. Even the museum reminded me tonight, literally, that everything has its time.

4. Who knows?
I'm 40, I can't tell when a woman is flirting, even.

Seems to me that there could be other reasons--not feeling well, maybe afraid that a first date kiss meant a second date something he wasn't ready for, maybe bold enough for a kiss but not for what he was thinking just then. You'll go crazy worrying, and will probably be wrong.

5. That's also possible.
Given what I do know, it's probable he's making a keep-your-distance gesture and that is fine by me. I'd like to have at least a friend, if nothing more. I've so few, you see... :D

7. Unless he's having a Herpes outbreak.
That might make him less likely to kiss goodnight.
