Big DU Virtual 4th of July Parade! What’s your entry?

No Americans love their country more than DUers. We’ve been called everything in the book but we won’t back down. Dick Cheney does NOT define us. We define ourselves and we love our country and our people, ALL of our people! Celebrate that love and join the BIG VIRTUAL PARADE!

Like Bill Moyers, wearing his flag lapel pin and deciding to take back the flag from those who hijacked it and use it as a cover for the selling off of America, we need to take back that great American holiday, the Fourth of July. Time to take back all the symbols and traditions of America from the pretend patriots and return them to the people who really ARE America! US!

Celebrate America and join the BIG PARADE! Yes, America is both blue and red. We need each other and celebrate ALL of America. Liberals are inclusive and love color.

We will need virtual floats. Tell us what yours is like. Is it funny, satire, a heartwarming facet of American life, a tribute? You graphic artists can show us your float if you want. We will need lots of floats.

There will be marching bands. Who is in your band? What are they wearing? What tune/tunes will they play?

Lots of drill teams. Tell us about the drill teams and what they will be doing.

Many big celebrities from all fields will come. What famous liberal would you invite? Are they gonna be on a float, in a convertible, riding a horse?

Inviting all the brave bloggers too. Who is coming? And what messages from the Freeway Bloggers will be there in banner form? Oh, they will look so great on the news clips, all those pithy and biting signs!

Clowns! Gotta have clowns. What clowns will be there for us to laugh at?

And most importantly, there will be Color Guards carrying flags. There will be Old Glory, of course. Who will be the honored guests we would like to carry American Flags (oh, by the way, the flags will be made in the USA by Union Workers). Who will represent each state and territory and carry those flags? Who will you invite to carry the flags of each of the branches of our Armed Forces? Service groups?

There will not be one single Grand Marshall, but as many as we want to honor and show appreciation to. Nominate your picks for these honors.

Havocmom is working on a float: A big pile of money bags with a staircase to the throne on top. Sitting there will be a guy in a chimp sit, crown tilted on his head. He is handing bags of $$ to long line of men (white of course) in good suits. The men have briefcases marked CEO. The float will be made on a big truck but there will be old people, working people, parents and kids around the base to look like they are shouldering the weight. In front of it, men and women in uniform and kids in balsa wood yokes will be tethered to look like they are pulling it. Behind it, more kids, sweeping – cleaning up the mess left behind.
