In my opinion, all cats should be shot.
There's just too many of them out there, and they can get all sorts of horrible diseases. So by all means, people, make sure your cats are properly immunized for rabies, FIV and the like. If I had my way, all cats would be shot.

Kids should have their shots before going to a resturant. You never know what illness they could pick up.

let you scratch his ears for a minute, then he's gone again.

Althea is my little cuddler kitty, but even she hates being pickedup and hugged, she's more of a sneak up on you and drop her self on your lap type :)

I hope Snowball stays this way. He's still fairly young. We've kept his mom, a stray I rescued while pregnant, and she's very huggy. She'll sit on your lap and reach up and put her paws on your chest or neck, and rub her head all over your chin. It's so cool. Maybe she's just reeeeeeeeally grateful for being rescued. ;)

78. Squeak got her name cause her meow is very squeaky, I think she will
grow into it. No word on licking eyeballs, but they all love to give tongue baths to my feet and hands! It's time for a feeding, they eat like PIGS! the black one and the calico both seem to prefer hand feedings of their soft food, it's weird. I have to give them several bites on my fingers and then stick my finger in the bowl of food (bury it really) and only then will they start eating from the bowl! ? Any ideas how to fix that?

Mamma will have nothing to do with me. :-)

79. That's how I first got Althea to come out of her carrier and be social
She loved me when I first picked her up at the adoption event at Petco, but she was terrified when she first came to the apartment. So, I put Quinn in the other room, got a bowl of food and let her lick my finger a couple of times. After the second or third lick, she darted out of the carrier, climbed up on my lap and started purring :). She still hates being picked up, but when she's in a cuddly mood, she's impossible to dissuade :).

So, what thread are you talking about? I thought you meant Squeak's nickname is Trashy. So I got this picture in my mind of Squeak (aka Trashy), wearing a hot pink/lime green polyester-Sateen gown with a too low decolletage, bad rhinestone jewelery, and feather trimmed mules. And a too-big tiara.

heh heh

Soooo I had a look at that thread---gee I'm sorry I missed it.
And I wish lower back tats had been happening when I was working as a tattoo artist. I like them because they follow the lines of the body in a nice way. When you're doing a tattoo, you want it to fit the body well. There are also various styles that have become traditional, and so you've got visual familiarity working for you. (keeping in mind that familiarity can become clicheed. But what's important is what the person getting the tattoo wants, and how well the artist executes the design. Part of that is fitting it to the body)

I DID notice on that thread all the judgementalism aimed against women. Shit what a crock....complaints that every woman and her sister has a lower back tattoo. No word about the ubiquitous "LOOK AT MY BIG MUSCULAR ARMS!! I"M MACHO!" trendyness on men (and its a trend thats been around as long as Anchor or Dancing Hula Girl tats have been around.) (well OK, there was perhaps ONE post that mentioned the equally stale flash for men...barbed wire arm or neck bands...etc.)

And I loved your idea for a matching back of the neck tat...sounds good! (hey the pic of your dragonfly didn't show up by the way. I couldn't see it) :(

I wish I had pics of me at work in the tattoo shop. Wah. But I'll have to post some pics of my work. (I don't have pics of everything unfortunately, but I do have some good ones)

Well, have a good day Fleabert! Give Fleazies a hug (kiss on the nose? ;) ) for me

Insinuate that us pet owners have a responsibility to keep our pets healthy.

And I'd rather have chocolate chip cookies in lieu of popcorn, if that is okay.

45. change cats to humans (humans kill way more than cats do)
"In my opinion, all humans should be shot.
There's just too many of them out there, and they can get all sorts of horrible diseases. So by all means, people, make sure your humans are properly immunized for rabies, FIV and the like. If I had my way, all humans shoulld be shot."

73. Wish you could see my grandkitty right before she got "shot"..
towel over her head, looking and sounding like a ticked off lioness ready to eat the vet! She's never forgiven him for spaying her, hated him every since.

Unfortunately since she was a feral barn kitten, she was either born with the FLV virus or got it through her mother's milk and was the only kitten out of the litter to survive. She was recently diagnosed with hip displasia. Her life we know will be shorter, but she has much love from my granddaughter and the rest of us.

We rejoiced when we were informed that the last 18 barn cats were trapped, neutered and spayed. No litters now in 2 years.

83. That's the nice thing about spaying and neutering...
No more unwanted babies flitting around or to try and find homes for...plus you're reducing the number of animals euthanized every year by not being part of the problem by allowing reproduction.

88. From what the lady told us, she trapped some each year and had
them spayed or neutered. It had to take her over 5 yrs to complete. Her biggest problem was catching the most wild ones and then she had additional cats that people had dumped off on her property.

It's still sad that she doesn't vaccinate them..

93. True...
It is such a severe problem, but one that simply MUST be done. We had 14 spayed/neutered within a few months, and it took awhile to catch all the more feral ones. But, it is too important not to. Any cat that we can catch we have fixed. I'm trying to raise funds to spay/neuter a farm's cats near my place...the lady is totally ignorant of the problem of overpopulation. She joked to me that when they get a "surplus", they just dump the "extras" at neighboring farms. It's so sad.

Today, so many shelters/rescues/towns offer low or no cost spay/neuter there's simply no reason whatsoever why anyone should have pets who aren't fixed, with so many wonderful, healthy dogs and cats put-to-sleep every day - it's such a sin.

81. If I had my way, I'd shoot people who think like you.
Seriously.

If people just fucking spayed and neutered their animals, there wouldn't be so damn many. But nooo...that would cost money.

Shooting cats wouldn't solve the problem at all. The overpopulation problem is a PEOPLE problem, because PEOPLE don't fix their animals. Until they do, you can shoot every cat you see but there will still be way more than there are homes for.
