Okay, something weird is goin' on!
I was sick with the stomach flu for 6 days last week. I started improving big-time for the last 3 after I took Immodium A-D.

However, today, I reverted back to my sick state.

I noticed I got sick to the point of vomiting when I got near the trash bin in the kitchen, where an empty chicken breast container was sitting at the bottom for 2 days. The odor wasn't exactly smelly, but to even breathe a wisp of it caused me to gag and vomit. :puke:

As the doc couldn't find anything internal to explain my so-called "stomach flu", could something external that I don't know about is causing my problems?

Trouble is, I can't find anything in the kitchen after taking the garbage out!!!

1. Stomach Flu is more often food-borne illness
E. coli, for instance, while sometimes fatal in kids and elderly, usually just makes everyone else as sick as you've described. Smelling noxious odors during or just after an illness like that always makes me nauseous too.

In any case, I hope you feel better soon!

4. If it's chicken, salmonella's the big risk

Reinfection is always very possible, and the bug can become airborne, so breathing near the garbage can might indeed be making you sick. Here's a link: http://www.nfpa-food.org/members/science/fact_salmonella.html
I'll try to find something from CDC and add it on edit

Like I said I would: http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/dbmd/diseaseinfo/salmonellosis_g.htm
and now I know why they don't sell baby turtles anymore!

5. Golden Seal, Myrhh, Cayenne (tea or capsules)
make your own if you can buy them at a health food store.

Papaya and kefir (or acidopholous yoghurt) on a regular basis - I mic maple syrup and wild bleberries in for flavor but the kefir is really good)

The golden seal and myrrh will kill whatever the bug is (it is nasty but in a capsule should go down smooth). Cayenne too will heal it -- peppermint tea, chamomile, and I like organic LEMONS: SLICE THE PEELS INTO A TEA and eat them too - which will purify the stomach.

My sources tell me that more and more mutations of viruses and bacteria (caused by radiation from nuke plants etc.) in the environment will cause more outbreaks like what you have . Norwalk - the cruiseship virus - developed near a leaky nuke plant in Norwalk Ohio. Same with things like SARS, Lyme, West Nile, etc. new mutations of old bugs.

Anyway - herbs and natural foods that heal and kill these bugs and keep the system operating smoothly should keep you feeling better.

6. Get some lysol and use it on everything you touch daily.

Like the phone, the keyboard, doorknobs, steering wheel, handle on the toilet, all the faucets, stove knobs, etc. If you have a refrigerator with water/ice in the door, clean off the thingy you have to press the glass against.

Hope you get to feeling better! :hi:

PS. And clean out that refrigerator!!!!
