3. Well, that's too close to the "other" white meat that shall not be named
but maybe a good Granola versus Cap'n Crunch War would get it all out in the open :P

8. STUCK?
You know you love it. :P

I met Madrone way back in December 2001 at the first Seattle DU gathering. I knew she was cool because she shared my love of Tom Waits. :D

10. Yeah, alright, I do
But I miss Madrone! She'd better get out of Michigan pretty soon and become absorbed again in all the minute details of my meager existence!

G'day Zomb, who is moving to the Great State of California! How's that going? :hi:

P.S. Tom Waits is God - or a reasonable facsimile therof....

22. My first time on a computer since arriving - and with a heavy heart.

My friend was in a car accident 2 nights ago. Her 3 year old daughter was pronounced dead on the scene.

The brakes went out on her car, and she tried guiding it off into the grass to slow down - she hit a tree. Her 18month old, also in the car, escaped with no injuries. My friend has some busted ribs, facial abrasions, massive - very painful bruising. She's not doing very well emotionally - I went to see her in the hospital yesterday, as soon as I found out. I had not seen her yet, since arriving in town. She was sleeping when I arrived, and I woke her up. After a short look of confusion washed over her face she recognized me and started to cry. She was very drugged up, and I didn't stay long as she needed to rest. I was also on my way out of town.

Currently, I am in Adrian at my dad's house. I should be heading back to Kalamazoo on Saturday.

Everyone, please pray for my friend.

buddyhollysghost - thanks. :) I loves ya.

Minivan crash kills girl, 3
Wednesday, June 22, 2005By Chris Killian

A 3-year-old Kalamazoo girl died Tuesday night after a minivan carrying the child crashed into a tree on the I-94 Business Loop, authorities said.

The crash also injured the girl's mother and 1-year-old sibling. Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety officials declined to release their names this morning.

Police said the minivan had been traveling north on the Business Loop at about 7:40 p.m. before it abruptly turned left, crossed the southbound lane about 100 feet north of Lake Street and struck a tree.

Paramedics took all three occupants to Bronson Methodist Hospital. The mother and the 1-year-old suffered injuries that were not considered life-threatening, police said. The 3-year-old was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The 1-year-old was secured in a car seat in the front passenger seat. The 3-year-old was not in a car seat but was secured with a seat belt in the back of the minivan, authorities said.

It was not known whether the mother was wearing a seat belt.

Anyone with information on the accident can call the Department of Public Safety at 337-8994 or Silent Observer at 343-2100.
