1. And stop charging an arm and a leg...
I mean look at it:

Four people going to the movies: 4 x $9.00 = $36.00
Four people renting a movie: $3.00

Is it any wonder that people don't go out to the movies anymore? I mean when it costs 12x as much as renting a movie, A movie's got to be pretty good to lure me into a theater...

3. Seriously!
And more than likely it's 4 x $11 = 44

And at home you can watch a film at your leisure, pause it, not be bothered by idiots crumpling their popcorn or chip bags, playing with their straws in their giant cups of coke, and screaming annoying kids.

2. Book and comic adaptations+sequels+remakes= CRAP= Slump.
I'm SO sick of the comic book heroes and the sequels to the comic book hero movies and the spinoffs of the comic book movies and the number one bestseller coming to film and the remake of the greatest blah blah blah.

I had a thread awhile back of the last *original, written for the screen* film people were excited to see, and most of us couldn't even think of one.

PATHETIC!

5. I don't think the movies are that bad, but stop charging 14 BUCKS A TICKET
Maybe I'd see more movies in the theater if it was a little cheaper, and they banned assholes who talk through the whole thing or answer thier cell phones in the theater.

Frankly, i can wait for most anything to come out on Netflix, cause the theater experiance has just gone to shit.

6. Why should I go to the movies when I can get the DVD in 3 months
Seriously!!!

First, the price of movie tickets in my area is now $9.25 and that doesn't include the $5 bucket of popcorn or $3.50 for the 20oz bottle of water (btw, I don't buy that stuff anymore).

Plus one of the last times I went I almost ended up in a fist fight with the ignorant assholes behind us who talked during the entire movie (management didn't do anything about it).

And about 3-4 months after the movie was released in the theaters I can buy or rent the DVD. At least in my home the noisest person watching would probably be my cat Abbott meowing for attention

8. I haven't been to a theater since the early 80's
I just don't see the point. Especially now when I have a dish that has every movie station. I can eat my own food, sit in my recliner in comfort, smoke, have a beer, and pause if I need to go to the bathroom.

9. I don't think I'll be paying more than $10.00.
Star Wars III was pretty good. I saw it two weeks in a row.
