An invitation from Lucifer: "Pull up a chair, let me get you a brew."
"Hey I don't care that you aren't in church this morning. Screw it! It's a lovely day. Who the hell would want to be in a cramped old building with no AC listening to some blowhard talk about a bunch of dudes that lived over 2000 years ago and who have absolutely no bearing on your life whatsoever. Hey, fuck it, I won't judge you. Let me let you in on a little secret too... The big man up stairs? He doesn't care either. He can't stand those televangelist and the likes... Oh and don't get Him started on those that use His name to kill others, WHOA! You don't want to be around when that happens, it really pisses him off. So, pull up a lawn chair, grab a brew, we'll fire up the grill and have a good 'ole time."

1. The Devil is My Friend
By The Jazz Butcher:

I went out one spring morning
To find myself a friend
Someone I could believe in
Until the very end
I found myself the Devil
He was sitting in a bar
He bought me fifteen Rum and Cokes
And then he went too far
Now...

The Devil is my friend
The Devil is my friend
Wherever I go, the Devil goes
The Devil is my friend

And now it's Easter
I'm feeling mighty low
That dirty rotten Devil
He said he had to go
Dirty stinking Devil
I'll shoot him with my gun
The Devil's bad, he made me mad
The Devil is a bum
But...

The Devil is my friend
The Devil is my friend
Wherever I go, the Devil goes
The Devil is my friend

2. Friend of the Devil
I lit out from Reno, I was trailed by twenty hounds
Didn’t get to sleep last night ’till the morning came around.

Set out runnin’ but I take my time
A friend of the devil is a friend of mine
If I get home before daylight, I just might get some sleep tonight.

Ran into the devil, babe, he loaned me twenty bills
I spent the night in utah in a cave up in the hills.

Set out runnin’ but I take my time, a friend of the devil is a friend of mine,
If I get home before daylight, I just might get some sleep tonight.

I ran down to the levee but the devil caught me there
He took my twenty dollar bill and vanished in the air.

Set out runnin’ but I take my time
A friend of the devil is a friend of mine
If I get home before daylight, I just might get some sleep tonight.

Got two reasons why I cry away each lonely night,
The first one’s named sweet anne marie, and she’s my hearts delight.
The second one is prison, babe, the sheriff’s on my trail,
And if he catches up with me, I’ll spend my life in jail.

Got a wife in chino, babe, and one in cherokee
The first one says she’s got my child, but it don’t look like me.

Set out runnin’ but I take my time,
A friend of the devil is a friend of mine,
If I get home before daylight, I just might get some sleep tonight.

3. Why sit in a cramped old building ... listening to some blowhard ...
.... when you can be out in nature - truly communing with (insert your idea of G*d here) - and appreciating his/her wonders first hand with each and every one of your own senses ?

5. Indeed, my cathedral is the wilderness.
Something that is scoffed at in the Christian Bible.

4. Lucifer, my old friend
:hi:

Psst! We have AC and... GASP! A swimming pool! YOu might even like it there.

You're right, She doesn't care where we are when we talk to Her. Church is really about the community rather than God. But that's OK, we need that too.

We all have our parts to play, even you.

7. Your church has AC and a pool?
Going to church is supposed to be about suffering. Is there any self-flagellation that takes place during the service? You have abandoned the scriptures! God will surely smite you and your congregation for your indolent ways!

8. Christmas with the Devil
By Spinaltap

The elves are dressed in leather
And the angels are in chains
(Christmas with the Devil)
The sugar plums are rancid
And the stockings are in flames
(Christmas with the Devil)

There's a demon in my belly
And a gremlin in my brain
There's someone up the chimney hole
And Satan is his name

The rats ate all the presents
And the reindeer ran away
(Christmas with the Devil)
There'll be no Father Christmas
'Cause it's Evils holiday
(Christmas with the Devil)

No bells in Hell
No snow below-
Silent Night, Violent Night
So come all ye unfaithful
Don't be left out in the cold
You don't need no invitation, no...
Your ticket is your soul
