How much do you spend on alcohol a month?
Both what you buy at bars and at liquor stores.

I think I average about $20 per month.

4. My husband and I don't normally go in bars...so that's out.
We normally drink at home. I probably spend about $30.00/month on the giant bottle of bourbon I buy...And mostly my husband drinks it before dinner every night. I rarely have any.

10. I drink one 32oz of malt liquor every Saturday night .....$2 and change
So that's less than $10.00 per month. Unless the kids happen to be staying at their grandparents house, which is every now and then. In that case I might have two or three.

I can't get 40's....I'm in Florida. Apparently they're against the law here.

14. When I used to drink
It was probably around $80 a month.

I didn't drink much in bars, but I always drank top shelf beer, wine and rye when I imbibed at home or at a watering hole.

I probably could have saved if I chugged Bud, jugwine and no name spirits, but I actually DID drink for the taste. Mostly. Sort of.

And I only drank at night. Well, sometimes in the evening, but mostly at night. I did tip a few in the afternoon occasionally. I think. Come to think of it, I'd have a drink at lunch too. Or two. I mean three. But never in the morning. Almost never.

beer! it's not just for breakfast anymore!:+

I do not drink alcohol either, but I drink lots of Mt. Dew. It is the environmental thing to do - it comes in a GREEN bottle and it made from recycled industrial solvents.

My SO and I keep BlackBox wine around at most times, and depending on if we have people over, and whathave you, there's probably about three of those that circulate a place at a given month . (approx $60).
and then at some point in the month there is generally a time where we buy supplies for margaritas or almond delights, so for the hard liquor involved there, probably about $40.
total: approx $100.

Drinking at a bar usually drives up that total.

Edited to add: There was quite a stretch where Mrs. IconCat and I both averaged that amount per night, not per month. Ah, the days of swine and roses...

29. Too much, I'm sure.
I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to alcohol. A 12 of imported beer, since I can't stand the piss water that passes for beer from most American breweries. 6-10 bottles of wine @ least $10 ea. Though, one bottle of Amarone or a good Chianti can be $50-60. I'm not much for hard liquor. Usually I spend $80-100 per month.

i have pricey taste in wine, but not the budget to buy it...

generally, i like some cab 2 or 3 nights a week... so that would probably put me at around $30 retail... but i get my stock through wine distributors, so it probably comes to about $20 :)

35. I'm not sure.
We probably buy 2-3 six packs of good beer per month, and 2-3 bottles of wine. Some months we're in a bar 3 times, other months we're not in a bar at all.

It takes us a while to go through hard liquor. We still have a bottle of gin we bought at Christmas time and a bottle of rum I bought more than a year ago to make a rum cake for my husband's birthday.

when I'm at school I hardly drink, so maybe $10-20. but in the summer there is nothing better to do, and I frequent many shore bars that charge way too much for beer. So maybe $100 or more, this will be a bad month for me because I'm going to Vegas on Thursday and I know I will be spending more than I want to spend

45. The most would be $20.00. Depends on my schedule for the month.
I do enjoy a 6 oz glass of red wine w/ a home prepped meal. I do not drink while I am on the road or away for my job unless I am sitting for days at a time, and can cook my own meals.
I have recently discovered a very inexpensive Italian wine ...Bolla ....that is just as good or better than the more expensive Merlots, Cabs, Syrahs, Chiantis, etc. etc..etc..
I never order bar drinks or restaurant food and beverage as I am on a strict diet, hopefully for the rest of my life.

We probably have a couple hundred dollars worth of alcohol in our house that we have never drank that is over 5 years old. We don't really go to bars either. Over the past few years, I have had 2-3 drinking events per year. We have both had bad experiences with alcohol and know that it isn't a good thing for us.

Well, having young'uns at home, I don't make it a point to drink with them. I might have a glass of wine or beer when I am dining out, but that is a rare occasion, the last I had was about 9 days ago, and maybe I'll get some to celebrate an anniversary, which will equal 2 glasses in a month...

about $7 a month.

Though from the age of 15 to 30 i drank average a case of Budweiser a day- 365/24/7 with plenty of shots of Jack Daniels in winter or Tanqeuray in summer.

When Anheuser-Busch built a new addition to the 1800's era brewery I was tempted to have a small engraved brass plaque which read- "This brick paid for by 15 years of daily use of your fine product by _______ _________ from 1975 to 1988". Mounting it to a brick under cover of darkness...

Not sure how much that would cost today... 24- 30 bucks plus? How much is a case these days? Shit, when i quit drinking "Lite" beer hadn't even been INVENTED yet!

69. About $300 When I Quit
I picked up a 12-pack every day. Of course I kept Burbon at the house. I drank out on weekends, and that is where considerable money went as well. Oh, and I smoked in those days too so my two packs of Camels a day ran me another $60 a month back then.

Folks I have drank, and drank far to much. I have also abstained from drink for more than 8 years now. Take it from a fucking expert, not drinking is better than drinking
