2. Harlan Ellison?
He claims to have been the eighth member; he's a writer of dark fiction, if you're not familiar with the name... a really remarkable writer, who's won more awards than ANY other living writer, as far as I know... yet nowadays almost no one seems to know his name...
Is that who you meant?

5. Unca Harlan claimed to be the eighth member?!?!
I know Ellison was chased down by the IRS for being a war-tax resister, and took part in several civil rights marches, but I never knew he was with that infamous cadre. Go Harlan!

7. Oh yeah...
I've read just about everything he's written... Deathbird Stories is definitely a GREAT place to start...
With these damn kids today (haha!), I try and tell 'em that without Harlan, there'd be no Chuck Pahlaniuk, no Fight Club...
He was a major influence; but for anyone who's been to my site and familiar with his work, that is probably very apparent...
