Two new Texas liberals were born at 1 pm today.
My best friend and her husband's twins were born by c-section today. One boy and one girl. The boy is named Carter; guess who they named him after? Isn't that cool? The girl (Mikah) was 6 lbs, 10 oz, the boy was 6 lbs even. All are doing fine. Two new Texas liberals!!!!!!

Her blood pressure was pretty scary apparently. They put her on blood pressure meds so all three of them are pretty groggy, but she's already fed both of them and I talked to her and she sounds fantastic. What a trooper.

6. I don't see how they'd have a choice,
considering their parents. ;-) Just kidding. But they WERE born to two of the biggest-hearted liberals I've ever known and they ARE going to be raised in Austin. Unless they just totally rebel, it's kind of a given. LOL!

5. "Mikah" that's a boy's name
I know that because that's my brothers middle name. Just call her what I called my sister: Turd.

Well, it was in vitro and an eleventh hour attempt at a family and cost a LOT of money, so I'm not sure many Texans could do it! But great idea!

Glad to hear they came out ok, no pun intended. Best wishes to the new parents, for whom sleep will soon be a distant memory.

Congratulations to the happy family! (And I like the name "Carter" -- a quarter-century from now, considering the lifetime accomplishments of the men in question, I doubt that there will be many kids being named "Bush" ....)
