I have a job interview tomorrow evening and have an infected stye.
It's all puffed up like a merengue. Luckily my eyeball hasn't been infected. I went to a clinic today, and the doctor suggested cold compresses to reduce the swelling and gave me some antibiotic ointment.

My interview is in 36 hours. It's a part-time job, but the money will help out my husband as I finish grad. school.

So... what are my chances? LOL!

Writer.

1. Ouch, hopefully the antibiotic
ointment will start working right away!

Best of luck! :)

2. OUCH
I used to get loads of styes when I was younger - and inevitably would rub it, then transfer the infection to the other eye.

3. cut a potato in half.
place the cut half against the stye. Sometimes that helps.

8. I've heard about potatoes having
anti-inflammatory properties..I'd put the potato in the fridge then it'll double as a cold-compress.

9. I've used them for boils before too.
They can sometimes help.

4. If it stays really bad, get a patch from the drugstore.
You could make a joke about not being a pirate, but having to wear a patch for a couple of days for an infection -- whatever. Then relax and enjoy (yeah, sure!) your interview. No reasonable person would hold this against you.

5. Take a hot towel and press it against your eye
That's how I've treated my styes in the past.

6. Initially that's what the doc suggested
until I told him about the interview tomorrow then he switched it to cold
