Any violent video games that depict the violence realistically?
(I.e. shows suffering of all victims and even friends of victims, and generally does not sugarcoat the violence). And if so, identify them please...

1. Not that I have seen.
Like the war games: you re-animate after 15-30 seconds. Ain't like that in real life. You tend to stay dead.

3. Something tells me that game wouldn't sell very well
Nor would it be all that fun to play.

4. To a limited extent, Baldur's Gate, BGII, and Neverwinter Nights.
In the main campaigns, there are themes in all three where harming the innocent causes the players serious damage in terms of survival ability. If played as intended, the only time that a player character should harm another person is under threat of imminent death. In user-created mods for NWN, there are several where violence is not rewarded, ever, and is thus something to be avoided except as a last resort.

Now, how violent BG, BGII and NWN are compared to FPS games, I don't know. The latter I can't play due to inner ear problems.

My playing violent video games however does not make me violent. Killing electrons lets me blow off steam safely (as do my martial arts classes).
