What's the holiday plans for this summer?
I'm going to Calgary to visit relatives and check out the Stampede.

1. It's going to be a busy summer for us. We are heading to Baltimore
next month to visit family we haven't seen in ages. At the end of July, we have a wedding in Seattle. After that, hopefully not too much. I can't take anymore travelling--esp. if it involves airports. I just HATE traveling by plane with all the security checks. It's a pain in the ass and invaribly, I am always picked to be checked.

Calgary sounds more exciting to me. I love visiting family, but it's not what I consider a vacation.

4. Yellowstone, Black Hills
Can't wait to see the Lighting Ceremony at Mt. Rushmore again. That thing is a blast.

We were going to go to Alaska, but scheduling got in the way. :(

6. Just returned from Europe

specifically Denmark and Germany (10 days). As I work in the field of education, I have the same amount of vacation time as the students (well, almost...) so I do not have to return to work until August. For the remainder of the summer I just plan on chilling out by reading, working in the yard, biking and visiting my relatives who live at the beach (free sea-side accommodations :)).

Next week we are going camping at Shannendoah National Park (Big Meadow) for an extended weekend...

Middle to end of July - friends are arriving from California with their HUGE motor home to help celebrate the 20th anniversary of my 30th birthday.

Beginning of August - my partner's family are coming our for a weekend.

mid-end of September - my parents are coming out for a visit.

in between all of this - we have to
- finish spring cleaning
- plant the garden
- plant hedges
- prune bushes and hedges
- start ordering cord wood for the winter
- clean the basement
- paint the livingroom ceiling
- recaulk the tub/shower

there's more - but right now I'm overwhelmed... lol

oh yeah - I was just handed ISO-2000 stuff at work. So I have to go through all of that and get it whipped into shape for August Audit...
