It has been opined that my job is nasty and disgusting,
as I have to make small pieces of people into smaller pieces.

Discuss.

Slicing, dicing, but no damn julienne fries.

is a noble profession.

I never thought I would ever really use that sentence.

20. It almost makes me paranoid,
seeing bad diagnoses on people a lot younger than myself.

We often are part of the very worst days of people's lives, and that can be a downer. Hence, the icky humor to lighten it up.

8. Cool job. I used to send them to you or another cutter upper
back when I was a nurse that is. Bodies, body bits, interesting stuff. Live bodies and body bits were nasty and disgusting too, except it was thought of as a "noble profession". right. You work county pathology or private puzzlesolver?

9. I've always wondered about people that choose professions like yours.
How did you come into it?
There are so many things I could never bring myself to do that others do every day.
But I do have a morbid sense of humor.

11. Just a fluke,
a small hospital in northern Michigan posted a trainee spot (back when on-the-job training for 2 years qualified for certification), I applied for the experience and did okay at it.

We had a fire marshall inspecting one day, he saw a above-knee amputated leg on the table, turned white as a ghost, and left the room. We passed without inspection.

Sounds a lot easier than restaurant inspections.
I admire you for being able to do it.

14. Well, it would depend on the actual squick factor involved.
Squishy stuff is usually kind of icky no matter the source, human or otherwise.
