Because somebody had already gobbled up their food!

We took this on the way to Michigan today. The turkeys were crossing the road. We stopped and let them finish and then took the picture.

1. mmmm, wild turkeys! YUM!
Were you on the way to the animal shelter with computers?

What state did you see the turkeys in? beautiful birds. My parent's ranch in WI had a lot of wild turkeys - noisy at times, but always a wonder to behold.

Actually, we were on the way there with carpet samples that they use to line the cats cages with.

And we were between Wisconsin and Michigan at the time.

(Edited to answer the "Where were you" question!)

2. Why do the buzzards come back to Hinkley (Ohio)?
Every year, on the same day in the spring the buzzards will return to Hinkley OH. Why? Is there that much dead stuff there?

5. Nah, wouldn't know what to feed them!
Besides, I'm having my Tofurkey for Thanksgiving and it's only big enough for me, Paul and our friend Kenny.

7. I had to do it!
They were just walking so funny that I had to pull over and watch them.

Besides, they lived here long before I did. The least I could do is show a bit of respect.
