Tito Santana
is wrestling at a firehall in New Castle County Delaware on Saturday. Wasn't he some sort of pro-wrestling GOD at one point?

Are you even remotely impressed/disgusted that I knew the name "Tito Santana?"

1. He was a major league hottie in his day
He must be pretty long in the tooth for wrestling now though. I would bet he is at least in his low 40's.

2. I saw him in a grudge match against the Magnificent Morocco
at the Capital Center in Landover, MD some time around 1985.

It's funny, but when you see them live, rather than on TV, they do a lot more of showing their opponents' buttcracks to the audience. Like Morocco had Santana over his head and was going to smash him down in some absurd fashion, but first had to stop and pull up Santana's trunk so we could all see Tito's buttcrack.

Life was sweet, and nobody can ever take that moment away from me.

3. So we do have something in common.
I even know of this person: Bruno Sanmartino. Gawds. It's rather scary.

4. That and an affection for the Clash, particularly "London Calling".
I'm impressed that you know of Bruno.

Pee Wee's Playhouse was a higher quality show, but I couldn't stop watching the wrestlers. I found watching wrestling to be an enobling activity for a man in his mid-twenties. Little did I know it would be the high point of my life.

5. I knew Tito Santana. He was the man back in the 80's.
Dropped of the radar though.

6. and now he's wrestling in some "b" league in a fuggin' firehall!
it really is kinda sad. Not to be totally flippant about it, but he must have had some kind of name for himself for me to even recognize his name in the first place.
