3. It has been a horrible Spring! I swear I do not have allergies, and I
Edited on Tue May-31-05 08:12 PM by BrklynLiberal
have been sneezing my head off since the middle of March! I have a non-stop post-nasal drip and cannot be without a box of tissues.
I heard it was because of our unusually warm and wet winter. There are a lot of "spores" and pollen around. I cannot walk my dog with out my eyes tearing and my nose running.
Everyone I speak to feels the same. People who actually have allergies are going insane.
That is what is going on here in NYC anyway.

4. i've been using Nasalcrom for years ...
i have pretty bad allergies to pollen in the spring ...

Nasalcrom is a nasal spray (but not a decongestant!) that works differently than most of the anti-histamines ... the package claims that it blocks the release of histamine and therefore is more effective than anti-histamines that try to "mop up" excess histamines after they've been released ...

unlike the nasal decongestants, Nasalcrom can be taken for very long periods of time without a "rebound" effect ... i use it anywhere from 3 to 6 times a day and find it's highly effective ... it's over-the-counter and a wee bit expensive ...

and the best thing is i don't think there are any side effects at all ...
