1. Great, great film
It should win several Oscars.

Neeson and Sarsgaard were particularly exceptional.

It's going to get added to my DVD collection.

2. Laura Linney was up for an Oscar for her role,
others were too. Not Neeson though!! Was it based on reality? It was a very strange movie, but I admired Proc for getting the info out that seriously needed to be studied and taught. He was a brave guy for going against what was the "norm" then and being a pioneer.

3. Should win a couple of technical Oscars as well
Best Screenplay and Costume Design would be my picks.

Although Vera Drake's costume design was much better, Oscar judges don't seem to give foreign films the attention they deserve.

5. I am pretty sure that it was already nominated for
whatever awards it could win for the Oscars back in February. It won't be nominated for next years Oscars.

4. Yes, it was based on the work of Alfred Kinsey.
There may be some fictionalization, but I haven't seen it yet. It's in my Netflix queue.

Here's The Kinsey Institute's website: www.indiana.edu/~kinsey/
