Penn & Teller: Bullshit is kinda pissing me off

I don't know if they're going to show a different perspective or something, but the show on College has so far shown Horowitz in a favorable light and made fun of Chomsky (without backing it up)

Thoughts?

I tend to agree with their basic point, I suppose. I think presenting Horowitz as someone sane, however, is irresponsible.

And it was a lame debunking at that.

4. For a subversive, Penn's pretty conservative...

I guess officially he's a "libertarian" and an equal opportunity offender. He'll target almost anything "religious" or "mystical" but he did an episode basically proclaiming environmentalism to be "bullshit" as well as recycling (which, under corporate control, may well be).

It is pretty entertaining either way... at least I think he's attempting to be objective and is questioning conventional wisdom. Maybe they'll do one on the Iraq war and the mountains of bullshit surrounding it.

Their live magic show is pretty great--highly recommended.

5. This show pissed me off.

I was so fucking mad, I was screaming at the TV. It was so damn unbalanced, it wasn't even funny. And using F.I.R.E. as a resource, that was nasty! They are FAR right-wingers! They support the formation of student KKK groups, because it should be covered under free speech! What these people fail to see is that universities, private or public, are BUSINESSES! They have goals that they strive to achieve, and will prevent disruptions to that process.
