5. I'm kinda partial to George "The Animal" Steele
Marginal, I know, since he was a "pro" wrestler, but it was a great name and he was a bizarre character - used to bite large chunks out of the turnbuckles and spit the stuffing at his opponents. That was before wrestling became so slick and packaged - it was very raw and pure entertainment that didn't really take itself so seriously.
