My bank just ruined my life...
Wednesday I had to take out a payday loan so our bank account wasn't overdrawn. I only took a 2 day loan, since I was getting paid Friday, but we needed to eat/get gas/etc.

My paycheck arrives in the mail every Thursday. Every Thursday I take it to the bank and authorize them to deposit it in the morning (Friday).

The payday loan people would be taking their money at 3pm.

The bank people said they would deposit the money at 9am.

Guess what?

They didn't deposit my check.

Now I am a few hundred dollars in the hole, with more overdraft charges piling up as we speak.

Thank god I have a receipt from the bank, saying they are depositing my check on the 27th (Friday), which they never did.

Of course now instead of getting to actually go do anything today (Saturday) I have to spend the day getting all this crap taken care of.

What a bunch of fucking bullshit.

3. They once did it to me but paid all fees
and wrote all the bad check people. It is their fault.

4. It's a good thing that you have the bank receipt.
So I don't think that you have anything to worry about.

5. Yup, call the bank. Explain it to them, they will most likely reverse the
fees.

If they had a sudden change of policy (which has happened to me) which they say requires them to put a hold on a check for 24 hours or some such nonsense, ask them if they could do you a one time courtesy of waiving the fees. They've done it for me in the past (mine wasn't for a payday loan, I refuse to deal with them at all, mine was for an electronic debit for a car payment that caused the chain reaction).

What I do now (since the bank my paycheck is drawn on and my bank are only a couple of blocks from each other) is cash my paycheck then deposit the cash. That way it posts to my account immediately.

6. Thank goodness for receipts!
My bank has done the same thing to me before so I know how much you must be freaking out! I hope things get worked out soon (and don't forget to make them take your overdraft fees away since it was their fault!).

7. Sorry to hear it...
I hope the bank co-operates with you to correct the error.

9. I think you can get this fixed
so I think your title might be better as "The bank fucked up my weekend". You still have your life, so try to smile a little. It could be worse, you could be without the paycheck.

Good luck on getting all this straightened out. I don't blame you for being mad, just don't despair.
