2. Why does it have to be one or the other?
They are both yummy. The team I'll be with tonight will be serving pork ribs and beef brisket, along with a homemade spicy sausage.

3. Here in GA, BBQ is mainly pork.

I've never had beef brisket. There's an excellent new BBQ place near my house which serves brisket and all sorts of pork BBQ as well as roasted quail!

Have fun. The food your team is making sounds delicious! :)

Yes....I said it.

Our team will also be smoking a turkey and chicken. I can taste it now.

I love my GA style chopped pork BBQ. It's the best. You gotta serve it with the hash, roasted corn on the cob, sweet tea and white bread.

I've never been to Kansas City. Are you there?

On edit, I see that you are in KC. How's the weather there?
It is beautiful here in Northeast Georgia. It's in the mid 70's, noy very humid and sunny! Ahhh! Springtime is wonderful!

7. Actually, Kansas City. This one is fairly new. It's a faction from the
world famous American Royal BBQ. Apparently there was a pretty significant riff between organizers and a large group broke off to form this one.

Should be fun with live bands, plenty of beer and the world's best BBQ.

It made me very hungry. I just went to a great BBQ last week. It was an annual event. The hosts BBQ a whole hog. They serve chopped pork BBQ. The whole affair is held a local park next to a beautiful stream. The only bad thing is that thewhole place is full of Republicans and RW politicians. I met Sonny Perdue (our Gov.) there when he was running for office. I told him I would never vote for a Republican. Bwahahahaha!

Good luck this weekend! :toast:

edit: BTW, is the crane guy still awake in Buckhead?
