2. What's the difference between a panic and anxiety attack?
A few years ago I'd feel my heart racing and get the feeling like I was going to die...nowadays maybe once every few months I get an aftershock, just feel a little shaky for a while...

6. They're the worst when you get them in public...
If you are drinking more alcohol than usual, are under more stress, or have not been working out panic attacks can start.

I suffer from them every once in a while and I've found working out and regular meditation help curb them if not prevent them. But that's just me.

7. Yes, But more controlled now.
Thankfully I have not had one in well over a year. But I used to have quite a problem with them years back. Had quite a few trips to the ER because of it.

10. Give Meds the Credit
Although I had been on meds since very early on. What finally did the trick was increasing the dosage of Fluoxitane(sp).
There were other things, such as attending "Recovery" which were also of major benefit. But the combination of Meds and all that I learned over the better part of two decades living with this. Has preatty much made them a memory.

11. Mild ones...
My heart racing and feeling like I'm going to throw up. Not necessarily with an easily identifiable cause. I found that lying down in bed with some calming music on, or doing something that taxes my brain and 'takes my mind off of it' helps, if possible.

14. I used to, then I quit all drugs, drink, cigs, caffiene, etc.....
And got on some Paxil (now I'm on Lexapro) and they went away.

The last Panic Attack I had was on 9/11/01.
