I'm off to Port Hueneme
Anybody there want to host a sailor this weekend?

The fires have died down enough that we are getting underway.

The sailor is out to sea again.

6. Near Santa Barbera and Ventura
Nearest off base theatre is in Ventura, 15 miles away...

Emptiest 'by the base' district I've ever seen in the US.

8. Hueneme is adjacent to Oxnard
and it is a decent sized town. Left there in '78 but surely there are still theatre's there! LOL There sure was a lot of traffic the last time I visited.

Used to live 6 blocks from the base and worked at the Navy Exchange.
Not a bad place at all.
