U2. actually, they never should have formed, but this would have been the next best alternative.

I'm very intolerant of Beatle bashers. I've decided eliminating them is the only logical solution. But, your main message made me realize you actually respect them. You get to live, i guess.

23. Correct. The drug taking standards.
They basically invented shooting heroin. And because of the Beatles, all of the Ramones, a vastly superior band, are dead. A tragic outcome considering that only two Beatles are dead so far.

Of course, they did just make the one album, they just kept chaging the name of it. But, they were all the same record.

Incredible ass-kicking debut albums that each band couldn't live up to in subsequent albums. G&R, of course, just flamed out.

VH had some good stuff for a couple more albums, but VH I is just a wall to wall onslaught.

IMO

IMO, Fair Warning was their high watermark. It was their heaviest and fastest album overall, and all of the songs were tight.

VH1 was awesome, but they still had the gas.

41. The Dream Syndicate and The Rain Parade
Edited on Tue May-24-05 04:05 PM by enigmatic
Both put out absolute classic debut albums:

Then had the bands fall apart by having vital members leave (Karl Predcoda/Kendra Smith for The Dream Syndicate, and
David Roback for The Rain Parade), which gutted both bands.

Both put out servicable albums afterwards, but never reached the heights of their debuts.

Edit: Meant David Rovback instead of Steven Roback..
