I just got news that a close family friend died last night.

He just went into hospice over the weekend so we knew that he didn't have long, but it is still a shock.
I feel really bad for my mom. She & made dad made friend with this man & his wife probably 50 years ago. She has lost many friends over the last few years.

His health has been declining for some time. He is under hospice care...and comfortable. We are sharing some great and profound stuff these days. I am very grateful to have this time with him.

my mother has also outlived everyone she knew. she will be 92 in a couple of weeks.
