Who watched 24 tonight?
I thought that it was a great ending to the season. There were facets to this season, especially the seeming political bent that I had a problem with, but it was a hell of an ending.

3. Yes he is.
There will be a next season, and he is on it. He and the lady who plays Chloe are confirmed for it.

5. Echh! I don't like Chloe. Or Edward, for that matter...
(Though I was sorry for him regarding the loss of his mother.) And, yes, I can separate fiction from reality.

Bring back Dressler, I say!

12. I love them, too.
They seem so real as people in the midst of all these larger than life, comic-book superheros.

10. Pretty good, although I don't know how they'll top this season
Last night almost seemed anticlimatic until Jack's "death" at the very end. I didn't realize the apartment girl was Mandy from season one until the Presidential staff mentioned that there was a problem with the pardon. I also expected there to be an internal mole, and was surprised that everything wrapped up nice and neat at the end.

I'm very interested to see how they'll top this season. It's pretty hard to beat the shooting of AF1, a rogue nuclear warhead, a stolen Stealth Bomber, the near destruction of nuclear plants, the return of President Palmer, and the Jack/Audrey/Paul situation. I initially thought they might go back as a prequel before Season one, but now think that there may be something with the Mexican drug gangs from season 3.

13. They don't even know Mandy was involved in season 1
They only know about her attempt on Palmer's life in season 2. So I think it will get very juicy in season 5.

I was thinking about how they're going to top this season, too. Maybe Jack will have to save a different country this time, since he'll be exiled.

22. Yep, good point
I find her beautiful, and knew I had seen her before, but just couldn't place her until the end. I think she'll be back in some form, especially since she has had small yet significant parts in 3 seasons so far. I'm hoping they release some promos for season 5 to whet our appetites, although it won't be out until January.

11. I'm sooooooo glad Tony didn't die and other thoughts...
Although with Michelle and Tony supposedly leaving CTU, he may not be back anyway. I was really afraid that Michelle was going to commit suicide in her car before she found out Tony was alive. I'm glad that ended happily. In a way, it was almost a TWIST that it worked out for them because usually things don't work out like that on 24.

I thought it was a great ending, and I can't wait to see how Jack will come back (maybe with brown hair and the name Jake Brewer or something ;)).

I was really glad Curtis didn't die either. It was AWESOME when he jacked Mandy right in the face. That may have been my favorite scene.

David Palmer: He rocks, as always. One of my favorite characters. I hope he comes back.

Mike Novick: He redeemed himself, somewhat, for screwing Palmer in season 2. That was cool. I really hope that somehow Palmer can be president again and that Mike can redeem himself further.

Pres. Logan: What a freaking weinie. I hate that guy. I just knew his little right hand man was up to something all along. I just wanted to punch Logan so many times in the episode.

Audrey: I'm sorry but if she works as closely with her father and knows as much about the Dept. of Defense as it seems she does, then why the hell is she so freaking shocked about what Jack has to do in the course of his work? She drove me crazy. I wanted Curtis to punch HER in the face too. ;)

So we don't know what happened to Behrooz, Driscoll, or Sarah, right? Who else? I feel like there were a few threads either loose or waiting for future episodes. At least now they've made the connection that Mandy was the one who tried to kill Palmer the one time, but they don't yet know her connection to the first attempt with the photographer in season 1. And we still don't know who that guy was on the yacht in season 2 for whom Mandy was working. My guess is that she and Jack ("Jake") will meet up next season somewhere out in the real world. She's the new Nina Meyers.

I can't wait until January!!

14. Well as for Logan, the more I see him, the more he reminds me of Bush.
He has more scruples, but when things looked bad he blamed Palmer and when things worked out he took all the credit. That is very Bush like.

18. OMG! You are so right!
Not quite as amoral, but just as whiny and lacking in class. WHY OH WHY can't Palmer be our REAL president? Or at least VP to President Barbara Boxer? What a wonderful world it would be!

20. I made the same analogy
last night in an earlier thread about "24", and the evil advisor could have been any number of choices...most likely Rove, but this could be a wild-card pick. Former President Palmer played Clinton's role perfectly, as America's first black president (according to Chris Rock)...

15. Too bad President Palmer wasn't holding onto Marwan.
Marwan would have been in "good hands".

21. I fell off the couch laughing
during last week's episode when Palmer included the phrase "in good hands" during one of his conversations with Logan. Someone else brought up another line from last night, in which Palmer said "ALL STATE and federal agencies..."

19. I could not get past one plot line
I don't think there is any way the US Gov. would voluntarily give up one of their secret agents to the Chinese. Especially one that just saved LA. Also especially since the 'crime' was the death of the consulate (by his own security staff) during a raid to snatch a nuclear terrorist that the Chinese were harboring.

Other than that, it was a fun episode.
