Movie Roles John Belushi Shoulda/Woulda Played, Had He Lived?
Frankly, I can't think of any. It seems his last roles were more or less created for him.

Considering the movies that have come out since his death, what roles in what movies could he have, should he have, played well?

1. Ignatius J. Reilly, "Confederacy of Dunces"
I think he was actually considered for it prior to his demise.

16. You've never heard that?
Originally, Dan and John were working on a script. It would deal w/ "exterminators in outer space". He was supposed to be Venkman (which went to Bill Murray instead). Later on, the script was retooled and the setting became NYC. The movie was then called Ghostbusters(I have the special edition dvd where they talk about it).

13. I think he would have been good
in any movie with Dan Akrold, Bill Murry, Steve Martin, and Chevy Chase. If not playing their characters, playing as a sidekick wouldn't have hurt.

18. Summer Rental
After thinking about it some more. I think he would have been great in Summer Rental as John Candys character. I also think he would have done a great job in the movie The Great Outdoors as Dan Akrolds character.
