Does anyone know where my engagement ring is?
Crap.. I lost it. I put it in my pocket last night along with my wedding band and another ring. I forgot about it until this morning. My other two rings were still in the pocket but the engagement ring is gone. I know, I'm a moron, thank you.

I've looked in all the places where I think it could have fallen out and landed.

My husband is going to kill me. Anyone have any esp vibes going?

1. I hope it's insured.
Either that or I hope you are.

Can't be of much help, but good luck.

2. probably that gollem character has it
Your husband is going to kill you? Only if you expect him to buy another ring. Husbands do not care about rings, do they? Other than onion rings - they like those.

The precious. The precious.

5. He does love his onion rings
He's going to be upset because number 1, the ring was just upgraded for our last anniversary. Number 2, he is always reminding me that when I take it off I should put it in the same place. I hate proving his point for him.

11. so the truth comes out
He is going to be happy that you proved him right. He will get to gloat and dance the "I told you so" dance. He's not going to kill you, he's going to make you wish you were dead.
I might mention that St. Anthony is the patron saint of lost items, but I am still mad at him for failing to help me find my keys.

13. You obviously know my husband!
He is going to remember this moment for the rest of his life. After 15 years together he doesn't get to be right very often. The dance is going to be ugly.

Look at it this way: Worst case scenario, your husband gets to be RIGHT about something.
He'll probably like that better than any gift you ever got him.

This kinda thing is like hitting the lottery to us male types. So let him have his 'moment' now; the ring will turn up when it feels like it.

4. I take my rings off every night and keep them in my jewelry box, but
I managed thus far not to lose them. (I have worried about it for years!)

I hope you find it somehow! *hugs*

14. I hope it wasn't my puppy. he likes to eat all kinds of stuff
I also changed a bunch of cat litter boxes last night (for my foster cats). I am not going thru bags of litter and poop searching for a ring. I say that but six hours from now I'll be up to my ears in nasty trash. Sounds like a Fear Factor challenge.

Maybe it rolled under your bed or bathroom vanity or something?

16. I don't know but I have a good excuse...
"Honey...if the stone had been larger I would have heard it when it hit the ground.."...

I realize how stressful it can be losing things...so I am trying to add some levity..

Hope you find it!

Have you retraced your steps?
Is it beside your bed or where you undress in the night?

It may have rolled out onto the floor under the bed??

That's what I would be thinking--I thought that, so you don't have to.

What were you doing when you took the rings off and put them in your pocket? It's possible it didn't make it into your pocket to begin with...maybe you can retrace your steps that way.

Good luck!

21. I am ready to scream.
I tried retracing my steps but I'm such a scatter brain these days. I can barely remember five minutes ago much less yesterday. Something about having 3 kids and 25 foster animals has turned my brain to mush.

Must think.. must think.. If I were a ring where would I be hiding? Is this because I stopped going to church?

23. I'm scatterbrained too, lately.
And I only have one kid. Last week I lost my work keys. Ah well.

Worst comes to worst, it's only a ring. Maybe you and your husband can go out and pick a nice replacement with the insurance money (even though it was just redone for your anniversary, but forget that, LOL).

Of course, then you'll find it!

Don't give yourself too much grief. It was an honest mistake...now get back to looking!

24. Did you and Ethel cement it up in Fred and Ricky's barbeque?
Remember the episode where Lucy thought she had done that so they took the barbeque apart - and it turned out she'd shaped it into one of the hamburgers they were going to grill. Hmm, shorts, pockets - those are always kind of loose - did you check your laundry? Towels, washclothes?

You could get a metal detector to check your pets and their litter without actually going through it.....

25. I lost my wedding ring a few months ago
I have two wedding rings. One is a plain band. The other is one which was fused with the diamond engagement ring. I lost the one with the diamond. I had no idea where it was. I can't wear it at work so it is usually in the jewelry box, but it wasn't there. I had been wearing it on weekends and some evenings. My fingers have shrunk so it was a little loose. After searching the house for a few hours, we temporarily gave up. A few days later, my husband had found it. It was is the small wooden gun case (which he had gotten from his dead grandfather) which was a couple feet away from the jewelry box.

How did it get from your jewelery box to his gun case? I could just imagine one of my animals moving my ring just to torment me.

34. Not sure
Our dog has done some strange stuff though. He unplugs things and turns up the volume on our sound system. If he is in the car with the windows partially up if he go in to a convience store or something, he has rolled them down more (we have witnessed this). We don't think that he is tall enough to reach the cases or have enough dexterity to handle something like a ring.
More likely, I woke up and was still half asleep when I realized that I was wearing my ring. I am not allowed to wear it at work so I put it in the wrong case somehow. Yes, sometimes I am that tired in the morning.
