They are a NA tribe from the SW. They may be the only descendants of the Anansazi, a tribe so warlike they wiped themselves out hundreds and hundreds of years ago, but that is the only thing I can think of as 'shocking'. That is why their language is completely unique and not related to any other language among any Native Americans.

Now the Zunis have their own city and more than most Native Americans have retained their culture more or less intact, but I find little that is shocking about them.
