stop by Preservation Hall if it's still open. The most authentic traditional N.O. jazz.

On Edit: Do tell more about the Voodoo Festival. Never heard of it. How is it celebrated?

7. Check out Tipitina's Halloween night.
They have MOFRO and Jon CLeary and the Absoulte Monster Gentlemen playing. These are the two best funk/soul bands playing IMO.

4. First, the music lineup looks great.
IMO a must see is the back-to-back Subdudes and Disco Bisquits on the first day. All weekend there are great bands. It will be fun.

Have fun. It will be easy to d so. Where are you staying in the city? PM me if you want some ideas on places to eat and clubs to visit.

6. That is in the downtown Business District.

You will be in walking distance of Mothers. Go there and get a Debris Poboy if you have time.

You are between the French Quarter and Uptown. One mistake people make in visiting New Orleans is that they spend all of their time in the Quarter. The better clubs and restaurants are Uptown or Midcity.

Go to www.offbeat.com and you can search who is playing in the clubs. With a festival weekend, the music at night will be phenomenal. If you get a chance go to Mid City Lanes (Rock n' Bowl for natives), it is quite an experience and there is usually great music.
