Miss one lousy phone bill....
And they send me a disconnection notice. WTF? I have never missed a payment, and on top of that they changed my DSL charge from 26 bucks to 49 bucks behind my back. I called and they brought it down to 19.95. Damn SBC to hell! I am going to call them and tell them I want to be disconnected..NOW! If my phone rings once, I will file a lawsuit for harassment and trespassing. LOL.

1. SBC absolutely, positively, unequivocally,
unprecedentedly....BLOWS.

When I lived in Lorain I had Century Tel. While a smaller network, I never had bad service, and the rates were reasonable.

3. This has been happening the last couple of years. You use to
get 2,3, or even 4 months grace before anyone panicked. Now they're panicking when you're a day late. But the economy is in good shape.

5. Several years, ATT long distance did that to me
I had forgotten one month and bang, disconnected I was. It wasn't even much of a bill. Fourteen dollars or something close to that. I never used ATT long distance again. I think they are belly up, now.

6. You'd be better off with cable broadband.

And it should be less than 49 bucks too. I pay 42 for Roadrunner and enjoy the hell out of it. Haven't had a lick of trouble.

Ed: And you can probably get the first six months at half price. Check to see what special deals they offer in your area.
